*Tuesday, May 13, 2008 7p.m: Come and hear about some GREAT Lakes Ladies when Bette Lou Higgins presents this storytelling program about some unusual women of the Inland Seas at the Renaissance Center; 26376 John Road in Olmsted Township.; http://www.therenaissance.org/ This program will be repeated on Monday, May 19, 2008; 7p.m. for the North Ridgeville Arts Council at the North Ridgeville Public Library; 35700 Bainbridge Rd.; in North Ridgeville. Both performances are FREE and open to the public.

*Tuesday, May 20, 2008 12:00p.m.: MEET MARGARET BOURKE-WHITE at the Parma South Presbyterian Church, 6155 Pearl Rd in Parma Hts and find out about the Cleveland Photographer's adventures during WWII. Alisa Riccardi will portray Margaret in this first-person character program which is open to the public. Tickets are $3.00/person. For additional information call 440-886-0658.

*Wednesday, May 21, 2008; 6p.m.: Meet Sarah Comstock (portrayed by Bette Lou Higgins) and find out about life on the Underground Railroad in NEXT STOP, FREEDOM! This performance will be part of the annual meeting and banquet for the Lorain County Historical Society. Tickets for dinner and the program are $22 for members and $25.00 for non-members. *Tuesday, June 3, 2008: Members of the Elyria Men's Fellowship will celebrate an early flag day when Bette Lou Higgins presents YOU'RE A GRAND OLD FLAG -- STORIES OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT.

*Friday, June 6, 2008; 7:30p.m.: Commemorate D-Day at the Emmanuel UCC Church in Valley City with a special performance of LETTERS IN THE MARGINS. This moving one-act reader's theatre play tells the story of a young Jewish couple and their work for the British Underground as they tried to escape from Hitler-occupied Europe. The program is FREE and open to the public (Good-will donations are gratefully accepted). The church is located at 6656 Center Rd in Valley City. *Monday, June 23, 2008 7p.m: Come and hear about some CLEVELAND FACES AND PLACES when Bette Lou Higgins presents this storytelling program at The Renaissance Center; 26376 John Road in Olmsted Township. Discover the city's history through it's people and it's landmarks including Moses Cleaveland's first trip to "town" and the Van Sweringen brothers who built the Terminal Tower.

*Wednesday, September 17, 2008: Members of the Young At Heart group at Bethany English Lutheran Church will find out about ORDINARY PEOPLE IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES: STORIES FROM WORLD WAR II.
