Eden Valley's Thirtieth
year has been busy. Today is November 11 and we have already had 25
Performances which were attended by more than 1300 people! We premiered
a brand new show in New Philadelphia in April THE DONAHEYS: ARTISTS
AND POLITICIANS and in June we participated in the Ashland Chautauqua
on Sports and Society to name but two activities. Most recently we presented
a special music program for Holly Holcombe's wedding. Ms. Holcombe has
been a supporter of Eden Valley for more than 15 years. She has worked
with us to produce special programs at both the Western Reserve Historical
Society and the SS. W.G. Mather museum. For her wedding she asked me
to write and narrate a program with music detailing the unusual love
story of her and now-husband Bruce Tomasch. OUR STORY (which featured
performer Elisa Singer and pianist Marcia Snavely with sound effects
by Michael Higgins) provided the backdrop to their exchange of vows.
Michael also made a CD recording of the program for the bride and groom.
We were honored to be included in this special ceremony for our staunch
supporter and my good friend. All of us at Eden Valley wish her and
Bruce a long and happy life together. (In case you're wondering what
made their story so special they were separated for 30 years
before finding each other again!)
Other things in the offing include a new addition to our website. We
have recently joined PayPal and you will soon be able to purchase all
of Eden Valley's publications directly from our website. Be sure to
check our publications page for news of when this system becomes available.
For those of you who prefer to pay by check, there will still be a downloadable
order form to fill out and mail in. OH! And it's NOT too late to order
our Christmas Cards or books for the Holidays!
As always, you can also go directly to Amazon.com from our publications
page. These purchases also help support Eden Valley's programs
so remember to go to EVE website before you place an order at Amazon.com
This year we have also joined the GoodSearch.com.
When you need to
do a search on the internet, using GoodSearch.com (instead of Google,
Yahoo, etc.) and listing Eden Valley as your charity of choice, every
search you make also makes a donation to EVE. These donations help support
Eden Valley's programs.
We look forward to continuing our work in providing unique theatrical
experiences and we thank all of our supporters over the past 30 years
for joining us in our educational efforts. I look forward to seeing
you at one of our programs in the near future.
Always,
¡ Bette Lou Higgins !
