Dear Belinda Bear,

I was more than glad to hear of your support for the Grandma Gatewood Project and was very happy to help. I have been fortunate enough to have seen the Grandma Gatewood presentation and feel her story should be preserved. People today need to know that whatever you want can be achieved by persistence and hard work no matter what your limitations.

I come across many articles in various publications and I am heartened to learn that there are still people out there willing to pursue their dreams and are working hard to do so. They need to hear the Grandma Gatewood story to be encouraged while on their journeys. Some have had very rough beginnings and their accomplishments are truly amazing.

Besides, what can be easier than a “bakeless bake sale”? No fuss, no muss, money raised for a wonderful cause and a delicious cookie recipe to boot!
